Welcome to the website of Woodchurch Film Society
Introduction
Due to Covid-19, screenings are currently suspended. We hope to recommence regular film screenings when the situation allows.
Woodchurch Film Society is a charitable organisation based in the Kentish village of Woodchurch. Every month we put on a film in the Memorial Hall, transforming it for the evening into our very own cinema (click on the Forthcoming Films tab above for details of our next films and dates). As well as providing pleasure and entertainment for the village and local area, our aim is to help raise funds for the maintenance of the hall.
Film nights are friendly and sociable occasions where we are delighted to welcome both members and guests. Embracing the traditional cinema experience, we offer an interval halfway through the film, when refreshments are available. We’re justly proud of our home-baked cakes, muffins and freshly prepared popcorn – best to go easy on supper before a film night! Tickets may be bought at the door.
Woodchurch Film Society is entirely run by volunteers, so if you have a few hours free once a month (and enjoy watching films), then get in touch.
Imagine – your very own film club … No queues, no faceless multiplexes or trudging miles into the nearest town – nor just squinting at a DVD on the telly. Just great films, hot popcorn and a cinema experience to share with family and friends.
We look forward to seeing you at a screening soon.
Our thanks go to local business group, Hobbs Parker, for sponsoring this website and launching us into the digital world.
